About.
Hope Cassandra is a comedic actress and writer based in NYC.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tisch, (Experimental Theater Wing; Producing, Literature, Dramatic Writing), and trains with Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Kimble Studios.
Hope wrote, performed in, and produced the play “Obsessed.” which made its Off Broadway debut at Soho Playhouse and had a subsequent, sold out run at Under St Marks Frigid in January. The play is about celebrity worship and chronically online Gen-Zs.
Her duo-sketch show “Passive Income: Side Hustle," a workplace comedy show, is reappearing at UCB this Fall. Her short film “Low Impact,” a comedy about women centered workout classes, is in pre-production. Hope can be heard on Audible and can be seen on Paramount Plus in "Blues Big City Adventure" playing the role of "Twenty Something" which she also plays on a day to day.
Hope feels deeply and sees things that often go unnoticed. Between her ability to “read the energy of a room” and her work as a yoga teacher; Hope would've made for a very good witch. She's working on it. Her secret sauce is grounding characters with absurd desires.
In her "free" "time," Hope loves to performs improv comedy with friends in the team “Dance, Bob,” an original form inspired by the seminal show Dance Moms, move her body, and talk in the third person.
